ahaha did i tell you guys my fail chinese SAT II score? LOL i got 690. ahaha yes i failed. for once. aahaha i really sucked at that. but then again, i never really tried in the field of chinese. it never seemed to important to me. which brings me to an unexpected rant.
I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE SAY, "OH THIS LANGUAGE IS SO DAMN USEFUL." ARE YOU EFFING SERIOUS? DO YOU HONESTLY THINK THAT IT WILL HELP YOU IN YOUR FUTURE? I AGREE, IF YOU'RE GON BECOME LIKE A DIPLOMAT OR SOMETHING FOR CHINA, THEN FINE. BUT EFFING SERIOUS. THAT IS NOT A LEGIT EXCUSE TO LEARN CHINESE. DAYUM. LEARN BECAUSE YOU WANT TO. THATS WHY EVERYONE IS SO DAMN JACKED UP. HOW THE EFF ARE YOU GONNA USE CHINESE WHEN YOU GROW OLDER? LIKE, TALK TO SOME CHINESE FARMER AT FARMERS MARKET AND GET A GOOD DEAL. SERIOUSLY. UNLESS IF YOU WANNA BE SOME DOCTOR OR LAWYER, FINE. BUT THATS NOT ME. AND SAME WITH SPANISH. WHO THE HECK IS GONNA USE SPANISH. AND WHO THE EFF IS GONNA REMEMBER ALL THAT AFTER...4 YEARS OF UNDERGRAD, AND MAYBE EVEN MORE YEARS OF COLLEGE!? ARE YOU EFFING SERIOUS? YOU KNOW HOW MUCH OF IT SHE REMEMBERS AFTER GRADUATING FROM COLLEGE (AND NOT EVEN IN GRAD SCHOOL YET). NONE. NADA. ZERO. UGH. I MEAN, AND THEN HOW ARE YOU GONNA USE IT. GO GET GOOD DEALS FROM SOME MEXICAN SELLING ORANGES ON THE FREEWAY BY SHOWING OFF HOW EDUCATED YOU ARE IN HIS LANGUAGE? well. to be honest... they tell me that stuff all the time too.. and my gand-uncle was like... you gotta learn canto, shanghainese and all those other ones too.
and i was like >.<.....
but the reasons for me learning...
1) sorta have to. (parents)
2) going to taiwan.. makes communication a lot easier
3) tuesday church service is in chinese.

i have Mexico Missions... so yea.. that's where i'm coming from.. but if i didn't.. i think i would have taken japanese? Oyama is a pretty chill teacher.. (i was about to take japanese anyways) and i had her during STAR testing..
but yea... i agree with you... i'm probably gonna forget all of my spanish after college xD
oh wells..
well another language can be useful, cause like what if you're a pharmacist and the person only knows spanish? you cant do anything. so learn spanish.
im only learning spanish cause its required to take a language :D
and so i can go to the swapmeet and talk to all the mexicans :D
